DEMOGRAPHIC MAPS AND ANALYSIS
DEMOGRAPHIC MAPS
Demographic maps are those created as a result of demographic analysis - the science of where people (or groups of people) are located according to cultural, economic and social attributes.
Red Paw Technologies has access to the most up-to-date demographic data, which can be mapped at the census tract, block group, zip code, county or statewide levels.

Thematic maps displaying median age, median home value, and household income
ATLANTA/DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA
Map of DeKalb County, east of Atlanta.
This map illustrates median household income by census tract. The census tracts in darker red represent those with the lowest median household income, while those in dark green depict tracts with the highest income.
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA
Map of Miami-Dade County, Florida, displaying census tracts by median age. The tracts in green represent "younger" tracts, while those in brown represent "older" tracts.
Based on the geographic patterns of the demographic data visible on this map, generalizations can be made about Miami-Dade County's population in regards to age.
NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK
Map of Nassau County, New York.
This map is divided into census tracts based on population density. Tracts in darker blue are more densely populated, while those in orange are less densely populated.
One discernible demographic pattern is that the more densely populated communities are found within the county's center and along the south shore. The more "rural" communities are located along the north shore of Nassau County.
SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Map of South Orange County, California.
This map was created for a commercial real estate developer who was interested in determining the percentage of San Clemente, CA residents who worked within their town as well as outlying areas.
The zip codes in red contain higher percentages of San Clemente residents working in the immediate area, while zip codes shaded in blue have smaller percentages of residents working in that area.
The developer's marketing team used the map to determine the approximate distances currently traveled to work by local residents and how to properly market their newest residential development, located between the
center of San Clemente and the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Map of San Francisco, broken down into zip codes.
This map was made for Los Angeles-based startup HauteLook.com, who wanted to map several US cities and their greatest concentration of HauteLook users. Zip
codes with darker colors represent areas of San Francisco with greater concentrations of users. These figures can then be compared to comparable demographic maps displaying household income, home values, employment level or other
economic markers.
Ultimately, this San Francisco map and other comparable urban maps became a tremendously valuable marketing tool for HauteLook's staff.
